Deleting your account and data

Talk it Out is made by Camino TC Ltd. You can delete your account and your data at any time, and you do not need to have the app installed to do it.

In the app

Open Settings and tap Delete account. Your account and all of the data listed below are deleted straight away. This is permanent and cannot be undone.

You can also delete a single journal entry on its own: open it from your journal history and tap the delete button.

Without the app

If you have already removed the app, or would rather not sign in, email us at hello@talkitoutclub.com from the address you used to sign up and ask us to delete your account. We will confirm the request, delete everything listed below, and reply to confirm within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account and sign-in details, including your email address and name
• Your journal and check-in entries, including mood and wellbeing entries
• Your conversations with the AI companion, including every message
• Voice recordings you made in the app, and the transcripts of them
• Photos you attached to a conversation, and your profile picture
• The profile we build from your conversations to personalise the app, including saved insights, weekly reports and your journey progress
• Any feedback you sent us from inside the app

What we keep, and for how long

We keep a record of subscription purchases after deletion, because we are required to retain financial records for accounting and tax purposes. These records identify the purchase, not the content of anything you wrote or said in the app.

Deleting your Talk it Out account does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel that through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, whichever you subscribed with.

Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained.
